AST Announces Exciting Launch of Bachelor of Theology Program
Atlantic School of Theology (AST) is thrilled to announce the launch of a Bachelor of Theology Program, adding to its theological education offerings.
Atlantic School of Theology is delighted to welcome undergraduates to study theology and/or prepare for ministry. You can study online and on our beautiful campus in Halifax. The 30-credit Bachelor of Theology can be completed in 3 years, even less if you study year-round. This degree is perfect for those feeling called to ministry, as a lay person or ordained, who want to develop pastoral skills, and a critical understanding of Scripture as well as church history and theology. To expand their knowledge, students will take 5 courses at a university outside of AST in subject areas not offered in our curriculum.
The Rev. Dr. Heather McCance, President of Atlantic School of Theology, stated, " We at AST are really excited to launch our new Bachelor of Theology program! The study of theology is exciting and formative, whether one is looking toward a career in professional ministry or seeking to study the liberal arts with a concentration in this area. We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of students - in person and online - as we roll out this new opportunity!”
The Bachelor of Theology Program is set to welcome 7 students into the winter term. Prospective students, educators, and the broader community are invited to learn more about this exciting program and how it can support their educational and career goals.
