Special Student Status
The following definition is applicable for Academic Year 2023-24 only:
A Special Student is a student who meets degree or certificate admission requirements, is admitted to study at AST, but is not admitted to a degree or certificate program. Courses completed as a Special Student may be transferred to a degree or certificate program at AST at a later date (as applicable). After 5 courses, a Special Student should contact the Registrar to apply to one of the programs (GCTS, MA, MDiv, or BTh). A maximum of 7 courses may be taken as a Special Student.
Admission Requirements
The academic requirement for admission as a Special Student is a Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from a recognized university, with a minimum of a ‘B’ or 70% average (or the grade point average equivalent).
