Fellowships
Pine Hill Divinity Hall, in conjunction with the United Church Faculty Group of Atlantic School of Theology, offers a fellowship once every three years to assist United Church of Canada graduates of Pine Hill Divinity Hall and Atlantic School of Theology in pursuing advanced, post-graduate theological studies.
The Pine Hill Alumni Campbell-Carmichael Travelling Fellowship
Pine Hill Divinity Hall, in conjunction with the United Church Faculty Group of Atlantic School of Theology, invites applications for a Fellowship to assist a United Church of Canada graduate of Pine Hill Divinity Hall or Atlantic School of Theology to pursue advanced, postgraduate theological studies. The Fellowship is intended to assist in the funding of full time or part time studies at a recognized educational institution other than Atlantic School of Theology.
The award is valued at $7,500 (Canadian).
The United Church Faculty Group assesses applications in conjunction with the Bursary Committee of Pine Hill Divinity Hall. The criteria for awarding the Fellowship are:
- the quality of the applicant's proposal for study
- the applicant's previous academic record
- the expected contribution the proposed study will make to the life and work of the Church.
Preference will be given to those already admitted to their program of study.
Successful applicants who undertake full-time studies will receive the full award at the outset of their studies. Those whose studies are pursued on a part-time basis will be awarded the funds in installments based on the length of the program of studies.

- transcript of most recent theological degree
- proposed plan of study (300 words)
- a brief statement (100 words) on how your studies will benefit the life and work of the Church

The deadline for applications is February 1st, 2009.The name of the Fellowship recipient will be announced not later than the following September 1st.
