November 10, 2017 - AST is delighted to be among the successful applicants in the Solar Electricity for Community Buildings Pilot Program. At a news conference this morning, Nova Scotia Labour and Advanced Education Minister Labi Kousoulis announced the successful applicants in the Halifax area. Held in the AST Library, the future site of new solar panels, the announcement brought visitors from the NS Department of Energy, Communications Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Power, the Clean Foundation, and a number of media outlets. Representatives from some of the other successful applicants in the Halifax area were also on hand.

June 27, 2017 - The Rev. Dr. Marjorie Lewis was appointed as the Gordon Scholar for 2017-2018 by Pine Hill Divinity Hall, the General Council of the United Church of Canada (People in Partnership), and AST.
June 14, 2017 - Nova Scotia Higher Ed IT Shared Services were recognized by the Canadian Association of University Business Officers (CAUBO) at a conference earlier this week. The 11 universities, including AST, collaborated on a single procurement contract with Microsoft to adopt a common communication and collaboration platform that provides each institution with cloud-based industry-leading technology at lower costs. The Office 365 platform offers many benefits to Nova Scotia universities, as well as to students, staff and faculty.
